Western Air Defense Sector
Homeland Defense took on a new dimension on 11 September 2001 and WADS has become an integral part of the newly formed military force working for the CINC of Homeland Defense as well as continuing its defensive role in NORAD. Integrating Command, Control and Communications capabilities with joint Air Forces allows WADS to "Guard America's Western Skies."
